| Description | Glucosidase, also known as ethyleneimine or azacyclopropane, is a member of the class of compounds known as aziridines. Aziridines are organic compounds containing a saturated three-member heterocycle with one amino group and two methylene groups. Glucosidase is soluble (in water) and a very strong basic compound (based on its pKa). Glucosidase can be found in soy bean and wild celery, which makes glucosidase a potential biomarker for the consumption of these food products. Glucosidases are glycoside hydrolase enzymes categorized under the EC number 3.2.1 . |
