Description Ethyl methyl amine is a member of the class of compounds known as dialkylamines. Dialkylamines are organic compounds containing a dialkylamine group, characterized by two alkyl groups bonded to the amino nitrogen. Ethyl methyl amine is soluble (in water) and a very strong basic compound (based on its pKa). Ethyl methyl amine can be found in a number of food items such as wild carrot, corn, cabbage, and carrot, which makes ethyl methyl amine a potential biomarker for the consumption of these food products.
