The Centre has a child-care facility, DOLNA, that is open to babies (4 months onwards) and children until 10 years old. DOLNA is situated within the campus so that it will facilitate parents working in NCBS to acquire the necessary concentration at work and to monitor the child when required. The campus environment also provides free space and lush greenery for the children to move around and learn through stimulated activities. The creche staff consists of three full-time staff including a creche coordinator and one more who works part-time. There is also a creche consultant Mrs. Meena Sivaraman who has Masters in Child Development and runs daycares in the city, visiting the creche few days a month

In order that children reach their milestones, there is an activity timetable followed throughout the day. For this to happen, the children are split into three age groups: 4 months to 2.5 years, 2.5 - 6 years and 6 - 10 years, since their learning curves, capabilities and needs are different. Several toys have been carefully selected by considering the developmental needs of the children of these various groups. These include toys for hand motor coordination suitable for babies, differentiation of colours and shapes suitable for toddlers, board games for pattern matching suitable for younger children and vocabulary and word-building suitable for children more than 6 years.

Ample amount of outdoor activities are incorporated into the everyday routine.

During regional and summer holidays, extra effort is placed to ensure that the kids are provided engaging activities like dance, drama, arts and science experiments.

The creche also fosters and provides opportunities to the children for extra-curricular activities like learning music and dance.

DOLNA organizes a field trip at least one day a month to places like science museums, orphanage and botanical garden. The creche provides an ideal atmosphere for building strong children through stimulated arts, outdoor sports and cultural activities.
